We can classify them into the following types:

- Ferrous metals: metals that contain iron.

     - Pure iron.

     - Steel.

     - Cast iron.

- Non-ferrous metals: metals that don't contain iron.

    - Light and Ultra-light metals.

         - Aluminium.

         - Titanium.

   

     - Heavy metals.

          - Lead.

          - Tin.

          - Zinc.

          - Copper.

          - Bronze (copper + tin).

          - Brass (copper + zinc).
